Jay Titus is a seasoned banking executive and community leader with over three decades of experience in financial services, commercial lending, and strategic management. A St. Louis native raised in the suburbs of Creve Coeur and Chesterfield, Jay relocated to Springfield, Missouri to attend Drury University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Economics and Management.
Jay currently serves as the Missouri Division President for BancorpSouth Bank, where he oversees all operations in the Springfield and St. Louis markets. His responsibilities span commercial lending, credit administration, retail branch operations, and strategic planning, along with the integration of the bank’s key business lines—Wealth Management, Mortgage, Insurance, Equipment Finance, and Treasury Management.
His career in banking includes leadership roles at U.S. Bank and Bank of America, where he managed multimillion-dollar commercial loan portfolios and led high-performing teams across Missouri and Arkansas. Jay is also a multi-year recipient of U.S. Bank’s prestigious Pinnacle Award, recognizing him among the top 10% of bankers nationwide.
Jay has completed extensive professional training, earning certifications from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and the Graduate School of Commercial Lending through the American Bankers Association and Southern Methodist University.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jay has long been an active contributor to the Springfield community.
Jay began his professional journey at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., where he completed management and leadership training through the Walton Institute and was a recipient of the Sam Walton Scholarship. Whether leading regional banking strategy or contributing to civic growth, Jay is known for his integrity, leadership, and dedication to strengthening both business and community in the Ozarks and beyond.
