Professional Bio
On the day of his college graduation, Brent's parents closed on their fourth rental property while on their way to the ceremony. Afterward, Brent met them in the lobby, received the keys to the new home, and, still in his cap and gown, personally delivered them to the new tenants at the nearby Sunvilla dormitory—having pre-leased the home before even owning it.
A year later, Brent completed his Master’s in Business Administration from Missouri State University, and it was then that he realized he could turn his passion for real estate into a full-time career. In the following year, the family purchased and rehabbed 12 single-family homes, then expanded by acquiring Wedgewood Apartments, their first 18-unit complex. From there, Brent's career in property management flourished.
Today, Haselhorst Properties owns and operates over 400 beds near the University, providing housing to thousands of college students throughout the years. Brent is a past president of the Springfield Apartment and Housing Association (SAHA) and has served on its board for over 20 years. He credits much of his industry knowledge to his involvement with SAHA and the relationships he’s built along the way.
