Professional Bio
I come from humble beginnings growing up on a farm in SW Missouri. I was blessed to be the first in my family to attend college, where I graduated with a Plastics Engineering degree. After moving to Kansas City, and spending a couple years working in Manufacturing, I decided that a change was needed. At that same time, a good friend from college invited me to interview for a position doing outside sales selling payroll & HR services to small businesses. I took the leap, and it ended up being the first best business decision I had ever made. I took the same problem solving skills that I had learned from my engineering degree and started applying them to business challenges. Soon after, I was promoted into leadership where I spent several years in both Charlotte, NC and Knoxville, TN. I had a good run, but it was time for another change, and I wanted to get back to my home state of Missouri. So I took another leap and accepted a position with a smaller, up-and-coming technology company out of Florida that allowed me to relocate my family to Springfield, MO. This move would be my second best business decision I had ever made. I was fortunate to learn from a CEO how to grow a business the right way by putting people first and always doing the right thing. The company became Fortunes 3rd best company to work for in America. But all good things come to an end and they were purchased by Private Equity, but just in time for my third best business decision I have ever made.
My wife Stacy and I purchased Hunter Property Management. We believe in putting people first and always doing the right thing. We seek & embrace change for the good, and it's our people that differentiate us from others. As a family we have grown Hunter from 320 units under management to 700+.
