Megan Creson (Lowther Johnson Attorneys at Law, LLC) will lead a panel discussion to address updates in Landlord Tenant Law as well as take questions from the audience. Speakers include:
Megan Creson
Megan N. Creson joined Lowther Johnson as an associate in 2016 after clerking with the firm throughout law school. Megan’s practice is both litigation and transaction-based, focusing on real estate and property law, business law, creditor’s rights, personal injury, estates and trusts, and landlord-tenant law. She was inducted into Trial Attorneys of America in 2022, selected by Best Lawyers for inclusion in the Ones to Watch category in 2021, 2022, and 2023, selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star Honoree in 2021, 2022, and 2023, selected by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as a Litigation Practitioner Honoree at the 22nd Annual Women’s Justice Awards in 2020, and selected by the Springfield Business Journal as a Trusted Adviser in the Up-and-Comer category in 2017. Megan attended the University of Missouri School of Law, where she served as Associate Managing Editor for the Journal of Dispute Resolution, completed a Landlord-Tenant Practicum through Mid-Missouri Legal Services, interned with the Honorable David D. Noce at the Eastern District Court of Appeals, and was a recipient of the Honorable Richard E. Dorr Memorial Scholarship. Before entering law school, she graduated magna cum laude from Drury University with a bachelor’s degree in communication and with her master’s degree in communication. Throughout her higher education experience at Drury and prior to attending law school, Megan worked full-time in communications and business development in Springfield. A Springfield native, Megan enjoys practicing law in the Ozarks. Outside of her practice, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, biking, traveling, and being outdoors. She is also highly involved in her community and invested in its future, currently serving on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity of Springfield and the Greater Springfield Apartment and Housing Association.
Kevin A. Scharf
Kevin A. Scharf joined Lowther Johnson as an Associate in 2019 after previously working for a social security disability firm. As an attorney, Kevin handles a wide range of practice areas including personal injury law, real estate and property law, labor and employment law, business law, landlord-tenant law, and creditor’s rights. Kevin attended the University of Dayton School of Law, where he served as a Staff Writer for the University of Dayton Law Review, as well as Honor Council Prosecutor, and on the student government executive board. Prior to attending law school, Kevin graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2014. Throughout his time in law school, Kevin worked for various litigation firms in Dayton, Ohio, which had a wide range of practice areas including business law, real estate and property law, personal injury, and creditor’s rights. A native of Belleville, Illinois, Kevin is excited to establish the Ozarks as his new home and to build and grow his practice in the area. Outside of work, Kevin enjoys watching movies and sports, reading, fishing, hunting, and golfing.
Colby Hall
Colby Hall joined the firm as an Associate in 2022 after clerking with the firm throughout law school. Colby attended the University of Missouri School of Law where he was named to the Dean’s List and served as a member of the Missouri Law Review. Prior to law school, Colby attended Pittsburg State University where he graduated with a degree in history. As an attorney, Colby handles a wide range of general practice areas including corporate law, real estate and property, business law, labor and employment, landlord-tenant, and creditor’s rights. Colby is a native of southwest Missouri and taught in the area prior to attending law school. He is eager to continue serving Ozark communities in the legal field. Outside of practicing law, Colby enjoys watching sports, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and young son.
McKinley Groves
McKinley Groves joined Lowther Johnson as an Associate in 2023 after serving as an Investigator during college and clerking with the firm throughout law school. McKinley attended the University of Arkansas School of Law where he graduated cum laude. During law school, McKinley was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Food Law and Policy and authored the article Do States Prefer Alcohol Over Marijuana: A Look at Labeling Regulatory Differences Between the Alcohol and Edibles Industries, for which he won the Arent Fox/Dale Bumpers Excellence in Writing Award. Prior to law school, McKinley attended Missouri State University where he graduated with a degree in economics. As an attorney, McKinley handles a wide range of general practice areas including labor and employment, estate and property, and landlord-tenant. McKinley was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, and is excited to return to the area to practice law. McKinley grew up a fan of the Missouri State men’s basketball team and loves to cheer on the Bears. He also enjoys watching football and spending time with his wife and family.
